Assembly

The preparation of a clear claim or response from the chronology, entitlement analysis, evidence and calculation.

Further detail

Assembly turns the analysis into a document another person can follow. Set out the remedy sought, relevant background, contractual basis, chronology and itemised calculation. Give each supporting document a stable reference and connect it to the point it supports. Separate agreed matters from disputed items, explain assumptions and remove duplicated costs.

Check that the narrative, schedule and supporting records agree. A Scott schedule can organise item-by-item positions where that format suits the dispute; the required submission format depends on the contract or procedure. Final account dispute assessment and response includes reconciling disputed items and assembling the supporting account.
