Evidence allows another reader to test what happened and whether the claim is supported. Keep original records with dates, authors and document references. Explain how each relevant record relates to the issue, including material that contradicts your position. Identify gaps and distinguish records made at the time from later recollections or estimates.
Use a document index and an event chronology so the material can be followed. The responding to a claim guide explains how to examine allegations and the records behind them. A Claim viability review can identify evidence gaps before further claim preparation.
