Further detail

Read this alongside section 112 of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.

Statutory suspension for non-payment is a specific remedy with conditions, including a qualifying unpaid sum and notice of intention to suspend. It differs from termination and from simply abandoning the works. The applicable legislation and contract should be checked before any action is taken.

Obtain prompt advice on entitlement and service requirements. Overdue payment recovery can help organise the payment evidence without treating an enquiry as authority to stop work.
