Signed contract review and action plan
Turn your signed subcontract into a practical list of dates, notices and responsibilities for your team.
View the Express 24/7 option for a defined review with its own input checklist and 24-hour delivery period.
What is it?
We focus on your package team’s records and deadlines, including who can issue instructions and approve changes. A practical action plan for the contract you have signed. We map the agreed commercial procedures, dates and responsibilities for your project team, with one handover session and a test of the routine.
Ongoing administration, legal advice and preparing a claim are separate. We reuse a suitable existing contract review rather than charge for it again.
How does it work?
You explain the work and the decision you need
You describe your trade package and the contractor who appointed you, the result you need and any urgent dates. The introductory conversation checks fit and availability; substantive assessment starts under an accepted instruction.
We agree the scope, responsibilities and fee
We check suitability, conflicts and capacity, then agree the scope, deliverables and timetable in writing, with a fixed fee or agreed hourly or daily basis. We explain payment terms, VAT and any separate costs before you accept. We agree the contract, obligations to map and handover test, including who owns any live deadline while the review takes place. We confirm responsibility for urgent actions and specialist input.
You accept the scope and provide the information
You accept the written scope and provide the signed agreement, amendments and incorporated documents, current programme, notices and correspondence, project roles and any existing procedures. You identify missing items and the versions supplied; we agree who will obtain anything still needed.
We check the records and resolve gaps
We check the documents against the agreed scope, dates and versions, raise queries and record the basis on which work can proceed. Missing evidence stays identified; we agree any limited assessment or pause affected work until essential information is available. Live deadlines continue to run.
We confirm the operative terms and live position
We establish the document versions and amendments, identify unresolved conflicts and check current notices and dates. We refer uncertain contractual or legal issues before relying on them.
We map duties, triggers and records
We link the relevant duties to clauses, triggers, notice routes, deadlines and evidence for your trade package and the contractor who appointed you. We distinguish your obligations from the other party’s duties and any administrator’s authority.
You agree who will act
You confirm action owners, deputies where needed and escalation arrangements. For several contracts or phases, we keep each contract’s duties and dates separate.
We test the action plan with you
We walk through an agreed real or representative event, check the dates, documents, responsibility and evidence of delivery, and correct and retest the routine. Unresolved actions keep a named owner and due date.
We explain the result and complete the handover
We issue the checked clause-linked obligations register, dates, practical checklist and handover test record, explain the findings and record unresolved items, next actions, owners and dates. We answer the included clarification and correct our errors. New information, changed scope and later stages need a separate agreement; you decide whether to instruct them.
Timing: The initial review and draft action-plan target is five working days. We agree dates for confirming responsibilities, testing the routine and final handover with you. Working days start when the agreed scope and required information are available.
We confirm timing after checking the scope and available records. Flag any live deadline when you enquire; it continues to run while information is gathered.
What do you get?
- A clause-linked obligations and dates register with named owners and deputies.
- A site checklist and action plan, separating current risks from day-to-day procedures.
- Handover and test results, with any unresolved actions allocated.
Each fixed piece of work includes one consolidated clarification round requested within 10 working days of issue, unless agreed otherwise. New records or scope need a separate agreement; we correct our own errors without charge.
