Claim Viability Review

A paid, fixed-fee review to help you decide whether your claim is worth taking forward, what is missing and what to do next.

Before you commit to a full claim

You may be owed money but unsure what kind of claim you have, whether the evidence is enough or whether pursuing it makes commercial sense. This review gives you an initial, reasoned view before you spend more time and money.

It is a paid service with a fixed fee agreed in writing first. We recommend it as the starting point for a new claim, but it is optional. If the next step is already clear, we can agree a full claim service directly, with the necessary checks included in that scope.

What your report tells you

Your issue and the likely claim route

A clear summary of the problem, the contract and records reviewed, and the type of claim or response that appears relevant. Specialist questions are identified for further advice.

Strengths, weaknesses and missing evidence

What the available records support, what they contradict and what remains uncertain. The report explains which gaps could change the recommendation and what would help resolve them.

The commercial case for going further

An initial view of the amount in issue, likely recovery where it can be sensibly assessed, cost components, time, counterclaim exposure and payment prospects. Estimates and assumptions are labelled.

Your next step and who needs to take it

A reasoned recommendation to proceed, obtain more evidence, negotiate, seek specialist help or stop. It identifies known urgent dates and unresolved date questions, with responsibility for follow-up made clear.

A defined review, with a clear price

The agreed fee covers the specified review, written report and a discussion of the findings. We confirm the issues, document allowance, timetable and update arrangements before you commit. We never bill by the hour or day. We explain any VAT, exclusions and separate costs.

This is an initial assessment of the agreed material, not a full claim preparation, detailed valuation, forensic investigation or legal opinion. It does not include serving notices, negotiating with the contractor, representing you in proceedings or enforcing payment. Specialist input and additional work are quoted and authorised separately.

Missing information may mean that viability cannot yet be assessed. We explain that rather than presenting uncertainty as a firm answer. Any recovery estimate is provisional; a favourable assessment does not guarantee a successful claim or payment.

How it works

  1. You explain the issue and any urgent dates

A free introductory call checks fit, conflicts, capacity and the scope needed. It does not include the assessment or report. Tell us about any live deadline before waiting for a review.

  2. We agree the review and fixed fee

We set out the issues and records to review, report, discussion, exclusions, fee and timetable. You accept in writing before the paid review starts. Any urgent action needs its own accepted scope and owner.

  3. You send the agreed records

Send the contract and amendments if available, the disputed amount, relevant notices and correspondence, and the records behind your account. Tell us what is missing; we explain any limits or extra evidence needed.

  4. We assess the position and the next options

We consider the apparent claim route, evidence, amount, likely costs, payment prospects and your commercial priorities. Unknowns stay visible. Where they prevent a reliable view, the recommendation is to resolve them or obtain specialist advice.

  5. We explain your report and recommendation

We talk through the findings and next actions with you. The report may recommend proceeding, obtaining evidence, negotiating, specialist help or stopping. You keep it without having to commission further work.

We hand over your report and next actions

You keep the report. If further work looks worthwhile, we identify the suitable service and agree its scope and fixed fee separately. You can proceed with us, take the report to another adviser, gather more evidence or stop.

If time is short

Tell us about any notice, payment, adjudication or court deadline at the first contact. Do not wait for a viability report before seeking help with urgent action. An enquiry or a review booking does not transfer responsibility for a deadline or preserve your rights. We confirm any urgent work we can accept, or explain that you need another adviser.

Jack is your point of contact. Review and update dates are agreed once the scope and required information are clear.
