## How to use it

Use the communication requirements in your actual NEC contract. An early warning manages risk; it is not a compensation-event notification.

#### Early warning EW-03: potential restriction to Level 1 access

Project basis: fictional NEC4 ECC project. This communication is addressed by the Contractor to the named Project Manager through the agreed contract portal.

We have been advised that Level 1 access planned for 7 October may be unavailable. This could affect partition installation, increase resource costs and delay the following services work.

Please confirm the access arrangements. We propose an early-warning meeting on 6 October to consider release of another area and resequencing. Programme P-02 and the access plan are attached.

A compensation-event notification, if required, will be issued separately under the applicable contract procedure.

The completed example uses fictional people, events and records. Replace it with your own verified information and preserve supporting evidence.
