## Further detail

A notice serves a particular purpose under the applicable procedure. An event notice, payment notice and notice of adjudication perform different jobs. A general site email or early warning should not be assumed to satisfy a separate notice requirement. Read the relevant wording for the trigger, deadline, recipient, delivery method and information required.

Keep the notice, attachments and evidence of sending and receipt together. Use the [payment and notices guide](<https://www.quantsurv.com/library/payment-and-notices>) for payment procedures, and check your own contract for event notifications. A [Signed contract review and action plan](<https://www.quantsurv.com/quantity-surveying?service=%2Fcontract-review%2Fservices%2Fpost-signing-contract-review#client-types>) can help identify the notice obligations you need to administer.
