## Further detail

Read this alongside [the NEC Dictionary of Terms](<https://www.neccontract.com/resources/dictionary>).

An activity schedule connects the price to identifiable parts of the work. It is not the same as the programme, which explains sequencing and timing. NEC Option A and Option C use the schedule differently, so do not assume the same payment assessment applies to both.

Check how activities are described and when they qualify for payment. Our [Subcontract payment assessments](<https://www.quantsurv.com/quantity-surveying?service=%2Fquantity-surveying%2Fpayment-applications-valuations#client-types>) service keeps the activity assessment and other adjustments traceable to the agreed mechanism.
